Casablanca Twist

by kymidwife » Aug 2nd, '08, 15:06

Any of you Adagio folks have any idea on the status of Casablanca Twist? I've been waiting patiently since I discovered Adagio in May... end of July has come and gone, and no announcement yet on the arrival of this tea. I was just wondering if there was any update from the supplier on a revised estimated time of arrival?

Thanks,

Sarah

It's listed under Greens... but it's actually a darjeeling version of moroccan mint. Here's the description:

An interesting twist on the old Moroccan Mint tea, which traditionally combines Gunpowder tea from China with fresh peppermint. We kept the latter, and replaced the smoky notes of Gunpowder with the muscatel highlights of a First Flush Darjeeling from India. The result is fresher, smoother and - we hope you'll agree - a nice improvement on the original.

<tap tap tap> Is this thing on?

I'm watching the Adagio page, and it looks like the ETA has been pushed out about 6 weeks from what was originally posted... but I was curious that no one responded to the inquiry here. Any good word on this tea from the supplier?

Hi Sarah,

Somehow we all missed your post. The Casablanca Twist is waiting on the Darjeeling. The most recent ETA is October. Most likely the first week. Sorry for the long delay! :!:

I'm going to blame Chip and me for the wait. We're in the process of culling out some forums, and 'Feedback' is receiving an awful lot of 'new' threads these days. Sorry everyone!

All is forgiven. 8) I figured the thread just fell through the proverbial crack... thanks for the update. :)

I am just dying to try that tea... have been ever since I first found the Adagio site.

Will continue to wait patiently...
