Why not On the Go Cups

like a double wall glass/plastic cup, not hot to touch on the outside and a mesh strainer on the inside... kinda like the cup within a cup idea....

You know for the football parents, soccer and other sports, on the way to work, out with no time for the home brewing preferred method.. Would also like to get more infusions though out the day from the same leaves as well. Maybe install a trap or something so it must be better then these designs here.. I

do have both....... so ask away I can take more photos of either.. btw these both have metal instead of mesh strainers in them....

Those two products look like the exact same thing...

I suppose this is true with all the tea brewing gizmos out there, i've seen things similar or pretty much identical to the things Adagio sells all over the place.

You could always try to fashion something up yourself

The Chinese often drink tea like this, just toss some leaves in a glass with water and drink using the teeth as a filter.

Marshaln calls it "grandpa style."

Teeth not so much, the leaves tend to settle at the bottom. It does not get over steeped because non bitter teas are made with colder water approx. 140 degrees.

Wow the price of above two is even less expensive than something similar that I saw from Chinese market (if there is no quality difference - they look pretty much the same). I don't think they are that good at heat-retaining. But anyway they are convenient to use.

I use something similar to this:


No heat-retention, could be a little too hot to hold at the beginning (but it came with a fabric cover). I would use it only for less expensive teas, and mostly black tea and herbal tea and the least expensive (expiring) green tea. It has been quite useful for me to take some tea with me, since I almost never have enough time to finish my tea in the morning before going to work.

I've been looking at this one because it eliminates the oversteeping problem, but then I question whether the leaves have enough space to steep properly.
