In search of 'Nyala Red"/ Creamsicle flavored Rooibos B

by eanglin » Oct 28th, '08, 09:22

A local teahouse, now sadly closed, used to sell a lovely rooibos blend thay called 'Nyala Red' It contained orange peel, blue cornflowers, rooibos and it tasted like a creamsicle!

My long hoarded stash is gone, anyone encountered a similar tea from an online vendor? I'm pretty sure Karma purchased it from a supplier, so I'm hoping somebody else has it.

Blood Orange Rooibosfrom New Mexico Tea Company tastes like a creamsicle to me. It's one of my favorite rooiboses. If you want to try some to see if it is what you are looking for, feel free to send me a message.

I think I have that already! (Or something very very similar) I found it at a coffee shop in the strip district in Pittsburgh, and its similar, but not as creamy tasting.
Thanks so much for the suggestion tho- I can replenish from them if we don't get to Pittsburgh to visit family.

I got Adagio's "Pisces" zodiac blend free w/ my last order (since I am a Pisces).

In any case, an orange creamsicle is *exactly* how I described the smell and taste.

Uh, if only It didn't have green tea in it, I'd give it a go.
I generally only go for the flavored stuff when I want something hot, sweet and caffeine free just before bedtime.
