What is white puerh and how does it compare to 'regular' puerh?

It is presumably made entirely of early spring buds. I am assuming this is from plantation bushes and not semi-wild or old arbor trees. It looks and tastes pretty much like white tea, but I find that it keeps me up at night.
This is similar to the beeng I have a piece of, if not the very same.

IMO, White puerh is a different category of puerh. Silver Needle/buds puerh is a misleading term to use for White puerh:

Thanks Sal. Very interesting tasting over the weekends.... Still new flavor coming out on it's second day.Salsero wrote:Tim, these photos are so wonderful! When you try out a tea you really put it through all the paces!
BTW, for Puerh Box Pass people, there is a sample of this tea in the box ... check it out. Viscous and light flavored, pretty tasty and some cha qi.
Just to be clear, the one for Puerh Box Pass is not White puerh... may be silver tips at best?

Unfortunately I don't have it to look at any more. I don't remember it as being all tips, but can't say for sure. Nada labeled it "2006 12 Gentlemen "Da Bai Hao." Here is his description and a photo:TIM wrote: Just to be clear, the one for Puerh Box Pass is not White puerh... may be silver tips at best?
