My journey into herbal teas...

by Skycast » Feb 22nd, '06, 10:48

For those of you that haven't seen my post in the "Other" forum, me and my wife are new converts to loose leaf tea and have purchased a bunch of different samplers. We are trying at least one new tea a day and rating them from 1 to 5 (5 being the best).

In this thread I will talk about the herbal teas we have tried so far.

Blood Orange - The only "fruit" flavored herbal that came with the ingenuiTEA sampler set; only one thing to say...yummy! One we'll surely keep around and one that is enticing us to try more herbals.

I like the blood orange mixed with spiced green, half and half. Really good for cold winter nights or if you feel a cold coming on.

The best herbal IMO is the strawberry...I love it. Adagio, don't get rid of it!

I only liked it cold by itself. Put chocolate and rooibos vanilla with it though-mmmmm.

I understand that the herbals aren't really tea, but I'm enjoying them regardless. I have a hankering to try some others, but need to dwindle down our current supply first.

The sour apple has certainely piqued my interest...any feedback on this one?

Sour Apple is one of my regular herbals. I highly recomend getting Raspberry Patch also, they mix very well together. Most of the adagio herbals have a similiar base so you can mix them easily.

sour apple

Sour apple is good but I prefer it as a mixer only. I don't care for it straight.

I like the sour apple with carramel (black or rooibos) and a smidge of the rooibos vanilla. I love mixing them around. The organic rooibos is really good with any of the herbals I have found.
