Hi

I recently bought the Oolong symphony #8. It is terrific! Not only is it wonderful quality at a great price...it tastes heavenly. I've also found that it is good for 3 infusions..I haven't tried for a fourth.

I really am astounded in general about the quality and taste of Adagio teas. I ordered a good amount of tea based on descriptions and reviews. I haven't been disappointed yet. Each tea has been utterly delicious, even when steeped for a second time.

To be honest, I don't think you could go wrong with any of Adagio's oolong teas.

Oolong Tea

I like Oolong Tea so much. Tieguan Ying is my favorite Oolong Tea. Tiguan Ying is Chinese Oolong Tea, is produced in Anxi County, very very famous in China.
You will have a new mind about Oolong Tea after you try it.

Floral Tie-Guan-Yin Imperial grade oolong.

This is absolutely wonderful. Individual nitrogen sealed packets of 6 grams each, a total of 10 packaged in a nice little tin.
The taste is well-balanced with the right amount of body, high-end, sweetness, and finish. Absent here is the 'leafy' taste oftentimes present in tie guan yins.
Tastes of butterscotch and bloom.

It's not cheap (28 cents /g), but it is worth every penny.
Just be sure you're using excellent water!

Where are you buying this? The only Floral Tie-Guan-Yin Imperial grade oolong I have been able to find was from Upton teas, and it doesn't appear to be bagged in the way you describe...

My current favourite Oolong is Li Shan Oolong from Taiwan.

The variety I drink is a lightly oxidized and handpicked with an excellent leaf quality.

Ah yes, Upton is indeed where i purchased it. Perhaps this is a new lot. I ordered it very recently. However, I don't remember seeing it listed under new arrivals.

I'd have to go with green Tung Ting Oolong first and then green An Xi Tie Guan Yin. When the mood strikes, I like to mix 2 strands of black Cha Wang Oolong in my yixing teapot along with the green oolong in it. The Cha Wang is black leaves laced with ginseng. It gives the overall liquor a 'sweet' aftertaste that just lingers forever!

I've never had it.

Your description of the taste made me desperately want to try it. So I went looking.

I looked at the Upton packaging page, and it said they pack things in 100 grams. I guess I didn't pay enough attention, because now I see that they say on the page of that product that they package it differently from their other teas. D'oh!
