I already pm'd fatman, but i figure i should post my appreciation out in the open.
I brewed some straight away after opening up the bubble pack, like the 2 previous comments suggested it's an easy to drink shu, and very enjoyable no weird shu fermentation tastes detected even after accidentally oversteeping.
Thanks Fatman2

I got around to brewing a session with it last night. I brewed 5.00 grams in a 130 ml pot with no rinse and 8 infusions ranging from 30 seconds to 6 minutes. I could have gotten more infusions if time had permitted, but I felt that I got a complete sense of it in the 8 infusions.
I am more sheng than shu drinker by maybe 3 to 1, but I do drink a fair amount of shu. I found this one to be quite average: easy to brew, tasty, relaxing, aromatic. As Orguz mentions, there are none of the awful tastes some shu, especially some young shu, has, but I did not find it to be exceptionally strong, sweet, rich, or aromatic. It's character struck me as being what I have come to expect normal.
I suppose this means I have gotten spoiled by finding a number of good, inexpensive shu puerh to drink and that Fatman2 has not been so fortunate. I think, Seb, you may be able to find quite a few things you will like as much as this one or even more.
Again, thanks for the opportunity to try this out! Let me know if I can send you some shu samples.

Sorry to hear that, Trioxin. Not sure shu will help that problem.Trioxin wrote: I'm so backed up ... its pathetic.

There's tons more out there and lots that I have that are good, but not good enough for me to make a mark next to their name. Brandon, Omegapd and Augie are more expert on the topic than I am. As you can see, I have (quite by accident) gotten more shu from Puerhshop lately than any place else, but Jim does not have a corner on the market.
Anyone else can expand the list of good-to-drink-now shu?
Sal, I happened to be a sheng person. That may explain why I have not discovered many of the good shu.
At least now I know there are lots of other older vintage shu that are better than this 07 Fuhai. Will take a look at them when I get the chance.
I do have some 80s Feng Huang Tulin tuos that are extremely good. That is in my wife's private collection.

Hopefully she shares her private collection with you.Fatman2 wrote:Sal, I happened to be a sheng person. That may explain why I have not discovered many of the good shu.
