Humidity Sensor
I'm looking for a pretty nice gadget to measure the humidity of the area where I'm going to store my pu. It would be nice to get something that will keep track of the level over time so I can see lows, highs, spikes, anything like that. I know a lot of you guys use them so gimmie some suggestions
I've asked about this before in a different thread, can't find it right now though.
Basically, I've owned 3 hygrometers so far, each under $10. I suspected them all to be off by about 10%, sometimes more, so watch out for that. I don't know why they're always off like that I'm guessing because they are cheap. Salsero posted this link on calibrating them.
I think even if they're off they can be used to give you an idea of what rooms/storage techniques affect your RH in what ways.

Try checking the reptile section of a pet store. If you can find a digital hygrometer by fluker's, I would recommend getting that one. Out of the few I've tried, that one was the most accurate.
If you can't find that one, cigar shops should carry several digital hygrometers, just some might require calibration. Also, I think those are mostly only calibrated for the range between 65-75%rh. Outside that range, it could have an accuracy of +/-10.

The Honeywell one mentioned keeps a min and max (can be reset), but you'd want something that will transmit to a computer if you want to actually graph it.

correct. I have a wall mount one like everyone else is talking about for the realtime display. The battery lasts a bit over two years on the OM-EL-USB-2 I have, it's replaceable. Dickson has a bunch of models with displays like these, but they cost significantly more .
Onset's HOBO line is also interesting (but expensive). There is a WiFi version that almost has a high enough cool/dollar ratio.

Yea I emailed them to see if I can get any information on it.
