Hello from the Netherlands

by samos » Nov 30th, '08, 14:47

Hello everybody I am a complete newbie to tea. In the last couple of months I've been drinking lots of tea but I'm beginning to get bored with the very standerd tea's I've been drinking. So does anybody know of a good starter in the more special tea's for a newbie like me?

Welcome!! I have a close friend there in your country!

Your question is rather broad - what kinds of tea have you been drinking?

By special teas do you mean loose leaf tea in general?

I've been drinking lots of different green tea's and herbal tea's from the brand Celestial. I don't think its anything special but they help me sleep or (depending on the tea) get up in the morning. Perhaps a silly question but is it difficult to drink loose tea and do you need a lot of "equipment for it?

You should probably start here:

Watch the video here:

Then let us know how that works out for you.

Welcome!

All you really need is a cup and some tea, though I would also recommend some sort of strainer as well.
