Rooibos and Ginger
I've been drinking fresh ginger tsane the last couple of months almost every night and found that adding Rooibos to the water and letting it boiling with the ginger for 10 minutes makes a very strong, tasty drink.
Just wanted to pass it along.

Thanks JM,
If you're interested, this Ebay seller has a few Rooibos/Ginger mixes. I've always been a sucker for a ginger peach black tea, so may try the Rooibos one soon.

In South Africa Rooibos is simmered in the pot for 30 min, strained and served hot or over ice.

While I don't boil it, I just like brewing it in my ingenuiTEA using boiling water. The fact I leave it in there till I remember I am brewing it (10-15 minutes later) is a good thing after reading this part:
Research shows that it takes 10 Min. for antioxidants to dissolve in water.
Sadly there was no source for this research...

I've only ever had ginger tea once or twice, and I've never made it from fresh ginger. I have some in my cabinet (made curry last night, mmm).. maybe I'll try it tonight.

That actually sounds quite tasty. I have never tasted rooibos. Might have to give it a try. I generally love ginger.

Chip,
You've drank tea for years and have 5100 posts but you've managed to never taste rooibos?! Get on it!
