Hello from VA

by Ms Kita B » Dec 7th, '08, 01:28

Hello all! I'm just starting my tea journey and looking for some advice. I've been lurking around for a while and decide it's time to join the discussion. I'm a long time yerba mate drinker and ready to explore the tea world even more.

Here's my 1st purchase and I'm still pricing other stuff I want:
-Small Gaiwan Tea Cup (2 oz)
-China Tea Sampler (Luk On Tea, Oolong Tea, Jasmine Tea, Tikuanyin Tea, Pu Li Tea and Shou Mei Tea)
-Medium Stainless Steel Tea Container
-NEW CHINESE YIXING ZISHA TEAPOT /CUPS (OFFICE SET)
-silver needle sample
-white monkey sample
-candy apple sample
-chestnut sample
-gingerbread sample
-taurus sample
-2 Double-Layered Tea Cups (2 oz)
-Teavana Volcano White Honey Organic 8oz. jar
-German Rock Cane Sugar, 1 lb
-Milk Oolong Tea - 50 grams (1.76 oz)

I will post pics as soon as I get everything. Feel free to criticize and recommend!

Here's a few of my gourds:

Boy...Ms. Kita B, sounds like you are off to a great start. I just joined and my first selections were not so great. I got overwhelmed in a great tea store and just had a blast. Next purchase will be done with much more thought and much more education thanks to everyone here.
Welcome!,
Sheila

Welcome!
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.
