Tea n00b here

by ahlatimer » Jan 3rd, '09, 18:00

I'm new to the forums and new to tea in general. I've always enjoyed spiced chai lattes and cups of chamomile citrus at the local coffee house, but I've never really branched out into brewing it on my own. I happened across Adagio through google, and this forum through Adagio. I recently ordered about $70 worth of tea that should be here Monday or Tuesday, so I'm looking forward to trying a bunch of different types.

Ah, the famous last words :D

My addiction started pretty much the same way. My gf at the time was starting to drink green tea in place of coffee, but she was drinking tea from teabags. So I went to the website of a local vendors that's beginning to grow somewhat large, Tao of Tea, to get her one or two tins of good stuff. About 4 hours later I was tortourously trying to thin down my cart to what I could actually afford (right around $70, actually) :) It wasn't long after that my tea and teaware started taking over the kitchen :)

Enjoy the tea, and your stay! Once you get an idea of what you like, you can certainly find more and better in the pages of this forum.

Hello and welcome! {waves}

Please share what you think of your first tea order from Adagio... I'd love to know your impressions, especially of those teas that I may not have tried yet :)
