Matt,

Hope this sound tantalizing:

"Darjeeling Rhapsody no. 2" is a clonal second-flush (summer) highly prized ’wonder’ tea from the justifiably famous Gopaldhara estate. It is a gorgeous-looking tea with a sublime taste to match. If you enjoy Darjeeling teas, you are sure to appreciate this wonder.

Al,

Russian Caravan is often a colloquial name for the Lapsang Souchong tea from China. You may try searcing for it under this name as well.

Hello,
I am a great Darjeeling Tea lover and I too was searching for some good vendor from whom I could purchase good Darjeeling Tea and at last I got hold of them. Actually the site is a community based site but they have got a shopping section which sells Darjeeling Tea as well. They are based in Darjeeling and thats how I thought to get the best directly from the place where the tea really grows.

Right now I have come to India and will be visiting Darjeeling soon.

Writer, editor, irascible curmudgeon

Michael -

I'd recommend that people check anything labelled Russian Caravan before purchase. I have found that some of them are blends that include just a small amount of Lapsang Souchong.

Darjeeling is a very sought after tea and the best sell at very high prices. To find the best you need to know what market is buying these teas. German and Japanese companys almost always buy the best Darjeelings because they will pay the higher prices. Look there for your answer.
