Adagio TeaV episode 3: Apple of my Eye

Lets see the tea
I would still like to see the actual tea- before it is brewed. I saw that you had the container out this week, open it up and let us see. You talked about how it was all fruit and herbals, a visual would have made it better. And let me say I loved the on location atmosphere.
Much better setting, IMO. I liked this format much better. Good job, Zack. Can't wait to see more.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
I don't mean this to sound wrong, and I especially am not directing this comment to the current blend being reviewed as I haven't tried it... but... I think it shows good fairness and balance if Zack doesn't always *love* the blend he's reviewing. If every episode is a rave review, pretty soon we would be thinking it was just propaganda or that Zack is the opposite of Mikey... he'll drink anything. (you youngsters may not get the Mikey reference)
I thought he did a great job of saying what it was like without saying he didn't like it... he basically informed us that if you like sharp, strong fruity, cranberry, and tart, you'll really like this... and I loved the facial expression which seemed so natural and uncontrived. I agree, would be nice if he could have tried it sweetened and sweetened/iced for comparison.

great
I loved the setting on this one. Anything beats the white wall, and the window was lovely but distracting. I also agree Zack may be 'too nice' in the tea reviews. By all means, if you don't care for it then its OK. I like how he said the tea would be good for people who do enjoy fruity, tart teas. It shows maybe he doesn't like it (obviously from facial expression) but says that other people may enjoy it. Everyone has different tea preferences and that keeps things interesting. I do really like the idea of showing us the tea tin and what the actual tea blend looks like before brewed. Thanks again for another show!

I'm afraid that Zack liking the three teas he's reviewed so far is my fault. I was the one who picked out the teas for him to review and I basically sent him teas I thought would stand a good chance of getting props. Now that the show is starting to find it's legs, I will be sending him a much wider selection of teas to taste and will definitely be including teas that should offend his palate.
I will have to agree Ilya - best episode yet
I like the change of scenery and the noise level was not bothersome.
I am definately pumped for the next episode. Although, what with Ilya's threat of pallette-assaulting blends, I am no longer hoping to see one of mine! LOL!
No, really, I want to say that I am liking these review shows. The laid back way you review is refreshing. I, like a couple others, would like to see some pre-diffused tea. If possible, down the road perhaps, I would like to see you sample appropriate blends in both a hot and iced version to see what commentary we get. Also, if you could let us know what your steep temp and times were. I was curious with Apple of my Eye since all you said was "super long" so for all I know it steeped 20 mins (say it ain't so, Joe!).
Keep up the great work, Zack!
