Hello from Kentucky (for now!)

by GT500Driver » Jan 20th, '09, 01:00

I've enjoyed drinking tea for a while, but only in the past few months have I been into loose leaf tea, I actually didn't really realize it was an option for the longest time, heh. I started with the starter pack from Adagio, and I've been hooked since. Ended up here because of Diggnation, and now every time I drink swill from a teabag I miss my tea at home.

Currently I'm living in Kentucky, and I've gotten both my parents into finally drinking some better tea. This fall I'll be heading down to Ole Miss (University of Mississippi for those who don't know, shouldn't be anyone  ), and I plan on taking my tea habits with me.

I've been reading posts in the forum for a while now, just haven't gotten around to joining until tonight.

Glad to be here,
John

I've only tried a few things, but Snowbud White, Kukicha, Chamomile, and Citron Green are my favorites so far. Haven't tried any Oolongs yet, but that's the direction I'm wanting to go, any suggestions?

Well you are off to a good start!! As far as oolongs, I would try the #18 as a good representation of greener oolongs and then #40 as a contrast. I also think the Ti Kuan Yin is very good.

Greetings fellow Kentuckian! Welcome to Teachat!

Glad to have another Kentuckian that knows more than "sweet tea" or "hot tea!"

Welcome to Teachat... I'm your Western KY neighbor, just north of Hopkinsville. Fear not, Brave Kentuckian... you are not alone. :D
