Dear Adagio Admin:

Perhaps I'm not the first one to suggest this, but wouldn't it be great to have a separate category for pu-erh discussions only? They are not exactly green or black or red or yellow...and certainly pu-erh doesn't deserve to be chucked under the "Other" category with Lipton and Tazo teas.

Agreed. There are certainly enough Pu-Erh fans here to warrant doing so.

Yes, several people here talk about Pu-erh. Wouldn't it be nice for it to have its own forum? :)

And pu-erh is totally a different type of tea than green, black, or white because it uses a true fermentation process to age the tea. I really would like to try some pu-erh since I have never had any before. Does anyone have any site recommendations for good pu-erh?

Yes I also support the idea as well. I also think that if its done it should be done right by also moving all puerh related threads (or at least the ones that mention it in the title) to the new section as its currently a mess with them them being all over the place.

...this is great...I want to get some pu-erh, but I admittedly do not know enough too make wise "investments" in this most unusual and collected tea.

A good way of showing your gratitude would be to put in a lot of requests for barley tea! If we get enough suggestions they just might add that, and that'd make me happy!

(Nah, this was mainly Ilya's doing, so if you don't want to suggest the barley, I understand)

Do you have a preferred supplier, or do you buy locally?

Oh, livejournal!

I don't have a supplier...I've had barley tea a few times and have loved it and would love if Adagio would start offering it. That way I could just walk to the other room and get some, rather than having to haunt the Asian markets. I don't think they like me there.

Have some barley tea, and consider yourself lucky that you have Asian markets. There are none in PA Dutch Country, but there are potatoes made any way possible...probably even potato tea.

I think we should call it "poTEAto", and agree that that sounds disgusting. I'd rather have a real potato any day.
