Chamomile steep time
So I just got a sample tin of Chamomile, and I am wondering if there are any good tips for steeping it.
Can Chamomile be steeped upwards of 10 minutes like my Rooibos or should I limit it down? Plus should I go with the 180 degrees on the tin or heat it up to boiling?
(By the way, anyone have any good ideas on how to approximate temperature when microwaving water? Didn't bring a thermometer to college, heh.)

I steep my chamomile at boiling (212) every time - most all herbals are easily brewed with boiling water. It doesn't make it taste strange or anything; I'd assume it helps to extract more "stuff" from the dried herb. There also isn't any real problem with steeping it for a long time. I usually pour boiling water over chamomile (or other herbals) in my steeping cup (http://www.denstea.com/index.php?main_p ... th=275_315) and just put it aside for at least 5 minutes, but often much longer.

I don't have any advice on telling the temperature of microwaved water. You should invest in a kettle though! It's much more convenient and faster.
