Spout protectors?

by teachat » Jun 8th, '05, 18:58

I bought a Mikado teapot for my mother as a gift and she recently told me that she chipped the spout and had to through the pot away since it continued to crack...

Does anyone know where to get spout protectors? I know I've seen them on countless old china teapots but wasn't able to find any sources online...

Adagio might think about stocking them for use on the beautiful glass teapots

Not sure what you mean by "spout protector." I assume you're not talking about those silly "drip-catcher" things, because you can find those in any kitchen store in the mall. Wait, I'm getting something.... I seem to remember seeing some kind of little silicone or rubber sleeve that fits on the end for some purpose. Hmm. Have to keep a lookout.
