Monday's TeaDay has been extended to Tuesday since Monday was a quiet day on the forum. Please share what is in your cup and discuss the topic.

In addition, please also discuss other major first impression teas throughout your TeaJourney!

There's been a lot in my cup today. I had Sencha this morning for breakfast. When i got to the office I had some Xishan (West Hill) Green Tea, Aged Shuixian Yan Tea, Aged Tie Guanyin Yan Tea, 2010 Xiaguan ancient tea tree Shengpu, Da Hong Pao, and some Yunnan Hei Tea. The day's still young, so there'll be more.

Have a great tea day everybody!

A rather sad teaDay: only one tea! It was the lovely traditional roast Dong Xin Taiwanese oolong from Norbu, and one that made quite an impression at first sip,'but still, only the one tea. Sigh....

'twas an oolong of some anonymous type, but it was my first oolong, and it pretty much floored me with its elegance and floral notes. Very memorable.

Having some SN today as an antidote to the cold, grey weather.

Hey folks. Back after the stomach flu swept through my family. Doing better now and having a mix of black teas today.

My first memorable tea was an oolong. Nothing too special, but I had it as a teenager while in Okinawa and remember tasting so smooth and rich and unlike any of the bagged teas I'd had up to that point. The next WOW tea was Yunnan Golden Curls...so rich and satisfying. :)

Welll, not the first time I had sencha, although it was good enough to impress me to try more.

The first one to rock my TeaWorld was in the Japanese packaging that specialteas had one year only. It was a revelation! Unfortunately it took several years til I found the real deal again.

The next major first impression, Yutaka Midori from O-Cha.

Great TD began with Kiwami from Zencha with the Mrs., followed by a TGY from IPT' Chinese_Tea_Culture, and finished with Musashi from O-Cha.

Oh, also on day 3 of Brandon's Malaysian brick from the Pu-OTTI, it is remarkably aromatic in the cup and still flavorful. How many days before this finally calls it quits?

I think my most memorable first impression of a tea would have to be of a pu-erh. With greens, it's almost always, "oh, this is really good!" or sometimes "oh, wow, this is amazing!" But with pu-erh, my reaction went like this:    :| :? :) :D

It's not that I expected to dislike it. It was just the first time I'd ever tasted anything like that, and honestly it was a wonderful experience.

Rose congou this morning; ryokucha with dinner; probably having a chamomile tisane in half an hour or so.
