Quick! There's a 2006 up now!
Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
I was wondering who had placed bet on Gaoshanzhai already.nickE wrote:I may have ordered one of Yunnan Sourcing's Gaoshanzhai yesterday... it was an impulse fueled by massive regret in passing up Nada's GFZ. Who needs money, right?
Picked up a Douji Red Yisheng too.
I would like to hear others' tasting notes when you got the Douji "Spring Red" in a few days time.

Now it's a competition, 11 more "Spring Red" cakes just joined the race!Drax wrote:It's gone down 3 beengs since I posted this morning. We could have a countdown....!Tobias wrote:

Darn you people. Darn you all to heck. You are going to run me flush out of money.
Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
Haha, it doesn't appear to be even a close race...! Spring Red already down to 4, and the 2006 Organic only dropping 1 to 15 left...apache wrote:Now it's a competition, 11 more "Spring Red" cakes just joined the race!Drax wrote:It's gone down 3 beengs since I posted this morning. Only two left of the Spring Red!
I think we're able to calculate the "half-life" of this pu'erh, now... .
The 2006 still has 14 left. Plenty to go.

Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
I don't know...It does depend on having a large enough N to really know for sure. The half-life of Nada's Man Nuo was out of what, 150 cakes? That half-life was probably about four days. Douji cakes might be a bit slower than that, if you had as many as the Man Nuo. On the other hand, there was a very finite quantity of the Man Nuo, while Taobao still have the '05 red, so I presume Scott can go right back out and buy more as needed...

Imagine
...
There is infinite number of Man Nuo cakes
...
All of us going to be financially ruined!

I was joking!shah82 wrote:I don't know...It does depend on having a large enough N to really know for sure. The half-life of Nada's Man Nuo was out of what, 150 cakes? But you are probably correct about Scott being able to go out and get more. Then again, that can only theoretically happen for so long...
Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
I think Scott really makes money on the other stuff you order, when you get that shiny Douji!
Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
No crap (like that shiny HLH).shah82 wrote:I think Scott really makes money on the other stuff you order, when you get that shiny Douji!
Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
Alright confession time, which one did you get burned on? I thought since it seemed like people were buying the $68 level fall Yiwu blend, that those might be worthwhile to have...until I tried one...after 6 brews, bleagh!
tho' to be honest, HLH isn't *that* bad. Most of my fury at wasting sample dollars still goes to Chen Guang He Tang stuff..

Re: YS 2005 Douji "Spring Red"
I haven't been burned on anything. I was making a no s* exclamation in support of Scott making bank on all the other stuff you buy when you go after just one cake, and mentioning HLH stuff as (other stuff). I haven't bought any $100+ HLH cakes, though.shah82 wrote:Alright confession time, which one did you get burned on?
