8 tea drinkers were present to test this highly reviewed and expectation tea. We tried the 100g set which is from the same materials of the big piece set. we speculate, if there are taste difference in terms of size or packaging, it would only be minimal since the tea is new. Probably few percentage difference.

Xinhai Wei Er Zhong Shan raw - Smoky. Nothing special or to shout about. Strong on the the first 3 brew and it went down very fast. 5th brew and it is already weak.

Xinhai Bai Nian Hui Gan raw - Not smoky. Not strong. Familiar and common taste. Very typical Dayi taste. Good saliva flow. Has sweetness.

Xinhai 357g Raw - After trying the 2 raw from the big set above. We tried the 357g. The taste is somehow different from 2 days ago when I tried. Same sample piece, same guy brewing. The group said it has no bitterness. They even soaked it and no bitter presence. Good saliva flow. Kind of weird that it tasted difference since 2 days ago, probably because it is opened from the box and exposed to air. The kick lasted longer than the 2 raw above.

I didn't take new photos.. these are photos from 2 days go.

Xinhai 357g Ripe - The pu beeng smells seafood fishy. But after brewing, the fishy taste isn't there. This is light and quite flat. Very common dayi ripe taste. We tried 70th anniversary ripe after this, and xinhai 357g is far apart. 70th ripe is so much deeper and has a better unique taste.

Drinking all 3 today has given us different opinions...

Xinhai Wei Er Zhong Shan raw - 2.5 stars
Xinhai Bai Nian Hui Gan raw - 3.5 stars
Xinhai 357g raw - 3.5 stars

Actually, these 3 are not bad tea... but it is not very outstanding in anyway except the packaging and the hype. A marketing gimmick done well.

PS: Gold Dayi y2011 - 4.5 stars if to be rated together with the 3 above.

Finally I had the chance to taste this tea today(with Chua and others). And it was a extra luck to taste the 1911kg tea too as the owner decided to open his samples as he only had 2 sets and was reluctant to open it at first. But since we were there he decided to open to get the feedback from us.

I must say I was very disappointed with Xinhai Wei Er Zhong Shan raw 1911kg & Xinhai Bai Nian Hui Gan raw 1911kg after all the hype about this tea and the ratings and comments. Its just another tea by Dayi.If you have been drinking/tasting all new Dayi release from 2006 to 2010 you will know what I am talking about. There is nothing to get excited about this tea.And for the high price you do not loose anything if you don't own this tea.If you can afford to pay a high price than it nice to have it as a collection.

Now for the Xinhai 357g raw I am quite surprised that this tea was rated low but yet beat the other 2 tea above. This tea has a stronger taste and lasted many brews. It did not drop after the 3rd brew like the other 2.If I recall it lasted more than 9 brews. This is the type of tea taste that you will want to keep to age.And the plus point is its much cheaper than the 4pc set.

Below is my ratings for the 3 raw tea tasted:
Xinhai Wei Er Zhong Shan raw - 2 stars
Xinhai Bai Nian Hui Gan raw - 2.5 stars
Xinhai 357g raw - 4 stars

Thanks for the reviews, guys! It will be interesting if you get a chance to revisit these teas in a few months (or even over the years) and see if this first impression changes at all.
