A mesh strainer or filter bags as people have mentioned truly are the best for leaf-less pots of tea.
Being naturally superstitious, I like to think that drinking in the leaves are good luck (as long as it's not a LOT of leaves)
...and if you're of the psychic mind, you need a few leaves in the cup to read your fortune!
