Qian Liang Cha = Hunan hei cha in the form of a huge cylinder weighing roughly 40 kg, literally Thousand Tael (approx 1.3 ounce) Tea (千两茶 or 千兩茶)

there are commercial sites selling a 700g slice for $40.00 US
thanks for info. so it is black tea. Looks like ripe puer in Tim's pics. Hmmmmm..... time to locate some to try. Thanks guys.
It is not a black or ripe tea.... it looks more like a 50 years old aged raw puerh.

This looks really intriguing.
If anyone is planning on ordering a slice, I'd might be interested in pitching in to buy a chunk of it to try.

Intriguing, I'd want a piece of that action too. . . it looks like . . . hmmmmm . . . a cow pattie! Horse hoof clipping, small tree trunk, compacted compost, clipping off the end of a cigar, slice of a magic mushroom.

Golden TeaHouse has a first class reputation among cognoscenti, though I have never personally ordered from them.

Augie, how could anyone pass this stuff up when you describe it so poetically!

did you guys end up ordering this tea yet? I would be interested in seeing a review, if you have the time.

I wanted to order some that should be a lot like the vintage from Golden Teahouse. I probably wont fork over the cash yet to get a good vintage like the one Toki had.(even if I could find it)
