you could be right, especially if there's moisture in the cake. Maybe freezing the paper itself would suffice.

that sounds fine, but yeah, freezing the cake sounds like a biiiiig NO NO. I may be wrong but. . . . .

if you have checked your cakes and they seem fine I would just check them again in a week.
