Well put. I had the exact same thought. I've been successfully avoiding the teaware bug so far, more or less, but these gaiwans y'all have are just so nice...

Here is my entry, Only the lonely gaiwan. It won't be for long since I think I need the rice porcelain gaiwan that Cinnamon Kitty posted. :P The leaves are Dan Cong Oolong from Seven Cups.

Two more excellent gaiwans. Thanks kymidwife and horsencl for sharing them with us. On Chinese New Year, it is appropriate to wish you good fortune (up to $25  ).

Once I get access to a camera, I will take some shots and post em of those dragon gaiwans. I always used my dads SLR untill I moved out. Wish I could afford one for myself.

Excellent Gaiwans everyone! Really like "Bubba", Sal. I do have to say I am very partial to aquatic themed teaware......
Oni--is the painting on your gaiwan textured/raised up? Or is it smooth to the touch?

A nice white porcelain gaiwan with a lower profile and a contour that looks graceful and also
makes for a great cup.

It is touchable, in relief, not "sometsuke" like.

My gosh, Oni, is that mini polar bear alive :?:

Thanks for sharing Bubba (think it is a Betty though), Sal. Lovely floral, Oni. And a nice spin on the white theme, Victoria!
