Pentox,
love your teaware collection: beautiful stuff! It looks like every piece must have a story behind it. Is that a cross between and yixing pot and an elephant (isn't is amazing what they can do with genetics these days!)

Do you think you could reduce the size of your 2 photos at their source (photobucket or where ever)? In IE they are like 4 x the size of my monitor and in Firefox they are very slow to load each time I scroll to or past them.

Fencerdenoctum,
That sweet little pot should have been MINE, ALL MINE! It is beaut and so is the little valentine table.

Scruff,
I see Gordon has another wrinkled pot like yours up on his site. It looks so nice. The texturing really appeals to me even though I don't normally care for designs and such. I'm tempted but resisting!

Pentox That light blue gaiwan with the square base is so interesting. Where did you find that? My heart is still beating fast from looking at all the shining glass! Great collection.

It's the most appropriate gaiwan i've ever seen for me. It feels like a combination of modern with classical design. I love it.

Cool, Bhale.

If I didn't know better, I might have guessed it was an antique.

Here is my small collection. There are a few random coffee mugs turned tea mugs that are missing. Somewhere in the basement, I have some smaller oriental style cups stored, but we don't know which box or which shelf they are hiding on.

Image

The ying-yang cups were a Christmas present from my parents many years ago. They came with a small bag of blended black and white tea which was disgusting, but I learned they went well size-wise with my new gaiwan. Behind those is a filter basket from RoT. The little blue kyusu is the yutori pot from Den's. The large 16 oz mug was a high school graduation present from a friend. She got me the mug with "Rocket Scientist" on it since my original major was Aeronautical Engineering. I later switched to majoring in Mathematics and Politics so the title doesn't apply any more, but it remains one of my favorite mugs. The blue mug next to it comes from Epcot, one of the Disney parks in Florida. They have a bunch of "countries" that you travel through, so that one is from the set up of Japan. The fuzzy thing sleeping in the chair behind my collection is called Pixie. She doesn't like tea yet, but I have tried to introduce her to it.

Image
This mug is also from Epcot and was purchased a few years before the other one. It is from the England part of the park.

This is my new gaiwan with the partially brewed TQY tea that came with it. I wasn't going to let the free tea go to waste so it worked well to test out my new toy. The picture is after steep 1 or 2 so the leaves haven't expanded fully yet.
