Where did you get that beautiful Kyusu?
It is a yohen finish by the Tokoname master, Hokjuo. It was purchased from Artistic Nippon. Now I need a lovely cup to match, all my favorites seem to be out of stock at Zencha.

Ohhh I been looking at a glass gaiwan. TQY would be a nice bonus!
I see Pixie in the background, sweet!

Lovely table, lovely review (as usual). But what's gnawing at me is the little demon critter on the table. I keep seeing him pop up in your photos. What is he, and whence does he hail? Are the two of you emotionally close or just similarly twisted? Is there a name for the little guy? Is it like ABx's do-dad? Talk to me, man!

Here's most of my tea ware:

Not pictured is my cool Dutch tea cozy, all stuffed with down, and the fancy cups and saucers I collect, but don't ever use.

Salsero, is the one on the top right from Yunnan Sourcing?

If so you have impeccable taste as I just got one few weeks ago.

Have you decided on roles for the pots as yet?

Everyone has such exotic and impressive teaware. Thank you for sharing.

This is my humble tea service, primarily English in style, but for the use of my tetsubin rather than the china pot. Even with a cosy, the china pot just doesn't hold enough heat for my leisurely consumption of tea. Note the shell saucer for the tea infuser.

I must admit that since becoming a TeaChatter I have been tempted by all the teaware I see in your collections. Just today, I was thinking that...

A lacquerware tray, two Japanese teacups and a different tea towel would give me a completely different service with my tetsubin.

and...

I saw a pretty celadon gaiwan online.

Sigh.

Space, that's a very nice looking tin. Are those washable? I have a bunch of the green tins Stash used to sell, but they don't have them anymore :( so I need to find some new ones. I am pretty anal, though, and I want things to match. I need to come up with a better system now that I am drinking up my supply and am going to have to replenish it.
