Yes, Ilya posted in IM earlier that this is still a work in progress and apologized for any inconvenience this may cause TCers. He indeed is currently working on the forum!

This must've been temporary. It's still static and eating post space.

However, the small chat area to the right is now static, which is useful, but everything beneath it in the column (e.g. member list on front page, Navigation box in topic) scrolls, which is jarring. I say static everything over there.

Of course, I would prefer the ability to collapse that column and regain the space.

The header is now somewhat dynamic. For people with larger resolutions, the top is fixed in position. However, if you have a smaller browser window, the top will scroll off the page.

Try resizing the browser to play around with the two views.

Here's the latest oddity:

When I "view new posts" it shows me now six pages of answers to threads. I return to the main page and tell it to "mark all as read" but it will not actually mark them as read--the next time I go to "view new posts" it gives me the same six-seven pages of responses. Each day the "new posts" list gets longer and takes more time to load.

Yes, I've refreshed, etc. I wonder if this is a cookies problem?

Maybe there should be a user option to unfix the header, as you seem determined to have it fixed at the top for some folks. I really do not understand the rationale for it being a function of window size, other than granting some much needed screen real estate (something us high-res people want too) to those with low resolution settings.

I'm looking forward to once again receiving emails notifying me about a reply on topics I've been posting on. I miss it. I MISS IT SO MUCH. AAARRRGGGHHH.

Yeah, it's gone now. It was weird though, because it wasn't there yesterday and just appeared this morning.

Thanks, again, Ilya, for your hard work! :D

The photos are getting their 600 px of width. :D It's amazing how everything is starting to come together.

You can use the "delete all board cookies" at the bottom of the page.

Yes, but then it won't leave me logged in.

Would it be possible to make the header fixed for resolutions of 800 tall?
It does bother me a lot less when I switch to the external monitor, but the "small monitor" fix doesn't kick in on my laptop.

I mark this as a bug:

Clicking the 'Disable Chat' link or the 'Enable Chat' button, bounces me back to the Board Index page.

I observe this with both Firefox and Safari, mac...
