Hi everyone,
Thanks to a friend, I've discovered teas and am just learning. I purchased a few inexpensive yi xing tea pots and am really enjoying my teas. So far, I'm gravitating towards oolongs and am trying to like pu'erh (since my mom drinks it all the time). Hope to learn lots here.

Re: New tea drinker
Hi I'm new to this forum. How great it is to have a teachat to discuss topics about all different types of teas. I always been a tea drinker, but was a total coffee addict up until a month ago. I started to have pains around my sternum and I quickly had to eliminate all the harsh stuff I drank or ate to figure what the problem was. Once I stopped drinking coffee, the pain went away, (of course it took a few days). I now drink tea full time. Before I use to drink tea to relax, or when I'm not feeling good. I am officially a full time tea drinker! I have no problem going out to drink "coffee "with my friends, knowing that there are alternative beverages, such as, a variety of tea I can choose from. Three months ago I visit a tea house in San Francisco, that offered tea tasting. It was an amazing experience. The Tea Connoisseur told the history, had discussed the variety of smells, the atmosphere was relaxing, and to learn the health benefits was all worth it. I will try to find the name of it and post it on this forum. I'm sure it is listed somewhere here. I love different types of tea. White, Black and even Green tea. I am really looking forward to being involved and discussing any new topics about tea!
