NO WAY!!! I think it's awesome. Way better than the peeing boy ones in my opinion. I thought the censored bar was rather amusing actually.

It's nothing half the human population doesn't see in the mirror every morning anyways. And I'm with Tingjunk....it's far less disturbing than the peeing boy pets. I saw one yesterday where the boy was urinating on a dog. Honestly!!!!

Here is my rat tea pet I got from IPT along with the new Seigan. I got the rat in honor of my daughter who was born in 2008 -- Year of the Rat. Really cute little guy!

I have that same tea tray I use in the office. You should keep some clean water in it to keep it from drying out and cracking. The air conditioning in the West tends to cause bamboo tea trays to crack.

Nice one! I have a rat mascot as well, due to the fact I have two actual pet rats. Mine is sitting on top of an ear of corn. If anyone out there could tell me the significance of that, I'd be very happy. I've seen the rat/corn combo a lot in various teaware and Chinese art, but my Google searches have revealed nothing on the topic.

The rat and the corn have similar meanings. In China, the rat is a symbol of intelligence, and perseverance and hoarding. Having a statue of a rat means that luck, money, and good things will be hoarded. Corn has a couple of meanings. It is a symbol of having plenty to eat and also plenty of luck because it is food and the many kernels symbolizes a lot of luck or food. The two together mean that you will have more than enough of everything you need; money, luck, food, etc.

And though it's not technically a mascot, I just picked up this cool lotus root Yixing pot stand which I've been using as an excellent lid rest while brewing tea.
