That is a very nice cup. I have one similar that is taller and much rougher that he custom made for me with a blue celadon glaze. I think I posted photos of it here, but I can't find it.

You posted esoteric tea ware, no cups or pitchers or anything like that.

In other words, canIseeit?

Somebody mentioned that I haven't shown any tea ware celadon, so here are a few cups from my personal collection. They were all made in Taiwan. Each holds about 100ml

I'm looking for the Xu De Jia celadon cups. In the internet I found his celadon only in http://www.houdeasianart.com. But everything sold. Do you know other places with his work?

So this is only my second post--but I thought I might share my new tea set with the forum. :) It's a new purchase via Ebay, listed as vintage Japanese celadon--though I'm actually wondering a little about how accurate that description might be.

Image

Obviously, it's a side-handled pot. However, after looking at pictures of Korean teaware versus Japanese (including some wonderful examples from this forum!), the handle style and the lotus (?) relief decoration seems to me more traditionally Korean. Or Korean-inspired Japanese?

Image

The whole set also including a cooling bowl (I think?), which I also don't usually see in Japanese sets ...

Image

The glaze, on the other hand is gorgeous. Regardless of where is came from or how old it is, I really love this set, both in overall shape and color. I guess as an artist, I'd love to know more about where this came from and the artist who made it, if at all possible ... any thoughts?

Image

The signature on the bottom of the teapot and cooling bowl ...
