Re: NEW Tokoname SO #1, Gisui Kyusu NEW
Considering i got my 7th choice with my email sent within 1/2 a second, that would mean most were sold in a split second! Forgot to turn on my vpn for a faster connection to the states

Adding to the #2 love, but it was a crazy day with no possible break at the key moment (sigh). But this way my other kyusus will not have to be jealous, and they'll all be going to good homes.
I hope whoever gets #7 will post some closeups of the calligraphy--and a translation. It looks like quite an amazing piece.

Calligraphy one is number 9. And yes would love to see more. Number 7 was lush as well.debunix wrote:Adding to the #2 love, but it was a crazy day with no possible break at the key moment (sigh). But this way my other kyusus will not have to be jealous, and they'll all be going to good homes.

I snagged #7 and you just about gave me a heart attack there. "I bought what?!" Not that it isn't lovely, just that it's a bit out of my price range atm....debunix wrote: I hope whoever gets #7 will post some closeups of the calligraphy--and a translation. It looks like quite an amazing piece.

Re: NEW Tokoname SO #1, Gisui Kyusu NEW
Upon further review, I have decided to keep all these lovelies for myself! #1 Kyusu to rule them all ...
"One Kyusu to rule them all, One Kyusu to find them,
One Kyusu to bring them all and in the Kyusu bind them ..." (little know Tolkienism, the original text was about a Kyusu, not some ... ring! Lord of the Kyusu. But after 9 years of sitting in a tavern, writing and rewriting, it became Lord of the Rings, and the rest is history)
Just kidding of course.
As it turned out, I believe all but two Kyusu were snagged in the first second or two of email reception.

OK, I took a looksee, It is hard to see down to the second what came in when since they just have minute time stamps, but I blinked once, and my whole first inbox page was full! I was stunned!kyarazen wrote:Considering i got my 7th choice with my email sent within 1/2 a second, that would mean most were sold in a split second! I got number 8, the largest one, which is sweeeeet!Alex wrote:Fuut wrote:I got one My feeling is that nr. 2 was first choice for alot of people.
Which one did you get?
Also the knob on the lid is very elegant, and will match nicely in shape with my kyusu from last month

I was close to having that as my first choice. Its very nice. Big and lovely. It will be great for larger brews or two-three people.

Sorry Chip this has no doubt been discussed already but will it now be Toru sending us invoices or are you still the Master of Ceremony?
Re: NEW Tokoname SO #1, Gisui Kyusu NEW
We went for the same 2 pots in the reverse order then I kept going back and forth between 5 and 7. I like the pear skin of 7 but the taller shape on 5 is likely to be easier to use. So while I've got my "second" choice I'm still thrilled because it wasn't so much 1 and 2 as 1 and 1.1Alex wrote:pizzapotamus wrote:I snagged #7 and you just about gave me a heart attack there.
