The fair cup is one of the reasons I chose it. OK, the main reason -- replacing the fair cup that broke. I saw the set, liked how it looked, and said, "What the hey ... I can always use more cups and another gaiwan!"

So here I am, now giving it a test spin.

My first Tokoname pot, bought at Uwajimaya today for 35 bucks - It was my favorite of the 10-12 tokoname pots they had, and the cheapest, go figure. I liked it because it was a different shape/style then any I've seen and 'plain'.

Very nice, I like the design. How much does it hold?
The filter appears to be convex?

With all of the talk about Hagi lately, I figured I'd post these:

Oni (Demon) Hagi and Ao (Blue) Hagi chawan by Seigan Yamane. I picked them up over the last few weeks. Oni is right, that bowl is threatening. It measures 6" (15cm) wide and drinking matcha out of the brain like pattern in the bowl is quite an experience.

'Nuki & Buzz: Nice teaware. Almost as big a rush as getting new myself! Just wait till Dubya sends me my "economic stimulus bonus" I am already planning another tea adventure.

Buzz: The white cup: Is it smooth to drink from? Looks like frosting! Cool Fang Jia, footed teacup, one thing I remember from an "Oriental Art I" class I took in 1988! LOL

Victoria: Love the simplicity of those bodum cups. They're nice. And look at your furniture -- where's the dang dust, sister?
