The sand colored pot is "Crown Pearl" shape Duanni from Rishi. It has a ball filter, a nicely fitting lid, and good suction. I am using it for my experiments with young sheng. In my opinion, it has improved the outcome of the brew versus the gaiwan on the very first try.

Right now I am looking for one more Yixing that would be ideal for yancha. Then I would sacrifice the cheap Taiwanese pot to shu. The Silk Road stuff looks really amazing.

The first thing I thought when I saw that picture was "that pot on the box needs a set of googly eyes.

'sayin.

As do I! It's lovely. And I noticed in your last Ancient Tea Horse Road post that you've got the little wee fish cups that I've been eying. I must applaud your overall taste in teaware. Très classy! :)

I was going through all my tea stuff today, tossing out old tea, dusting shelves, recycling tins and what not (and you know you're a tea nerd if this takes multiple hours and a trip to the Container Store), when I thought it would be a neat idea to take a family picture, as it has been said, of all the tea ware.

I added up the dollar amount in my head, and it was 50 bucks or so past I-need-a-cheaper-hobby.

Perhaps...but you've got some brilliant Japanese pieces. Very envy-worthy.

Whoa, I love that red kettle in the back!

The reason I bought the kettle that I did is because of the round shape. However, I wish I could have found a kettle like yours because it looks like it has a thermometer... and it's red! Haha.

Great collection! :D I'm envious of your yixing pots... I still don't have one of my own yet. :(

I have the same red kettle, unfortunately it does not have a thermometer. On the other hand, the "minimum" fill line is just right for the IngenuiTEA.

Space Samurai...that is so amazing. I'm so jealous! Have you got a higher res image of that picture? If so, would you mind linking it so I could admire it some more

Thanks for the compliments! :D

I don't have a better picture at the time, the lighting turned out very poor, and I had to fiddle with it a lot. When I get a better one, I'll drop a link.
