I don't have a better picture at the time, the lighting turned out very poor, and I had to fiddle with it a lot. When I get a better one, I'll drop a link.

I received my birthday present today.

Last month I sent Toru-san, of Artistic Nippon, a picture of this chawan from Hibiki-an: http://www.hibiki-an.com/product_info.p ... cts_id/425, and asked him if he could find me one like it. This is what he found. I think he did a good job.

Space, you have truly inspired me. I have seriously considered buying a Raku-raku chawan or 2 for some time, but maybe I will just drive to Dallas with a U-Haul instead.

Very nice piece... how did the price compare to hibiki?

Your entire Japanese teaware collection is becoming legendary and coveted by many.

Chip that's sweet of you to say.

Hibki = $132
Artistic Nippon = $89.50

Magokorodo pieces

by cloudyday » Jan 5th, '08, 18:03

Nice collection, Space. Very nice.
I like the Kyusu, Fuka. I've been tempted to get one from AN myself.
Adriel, I like your Yixing pots. And I like freshly ground coffee from beans, too...though I don't roast them myself. That's admirable.

Here's my holiday haul. The Tsu-tsu style chawan is a Seigan piece (tsu-tsu chawans are more shaped like cups than bowls). The white accents are a part of the glaze and not a reflection...looks really nice. Had to make a strong hint for this one as a x-mas present (as in, "I want this one") lol.
The white cup is a Deishi piece. I like it very much. This one was a present to me from me
:D

These'll be my last pieces to obtain for a while, but I've got enough to appreciate for the time being anyways

Whoa...missed the kyusu, Fuka...really nice. I saw that one on their site.

That price difference is criminal, Space...well, you get free shipping from hibiki.

Nice pieces cloudyday, may they make sunnydays for you.
