Hello communiTEA drinkers,
Today we have Guizhou Twist!
This green tea is from the Meitan county in Guizhou and bears white grape and plum notes with a blossomy finish from its slender, curly deep green leaves.
Was it love at first sip for you?
Re: May 20th Discussion
I'm not usually a green tea drinker, but was quite lovely! Definitely got the white grape and grassy hits and I really enjoyed that it wasn't overly acidic as soon as it hit the mouth. I might actually get a bag of this!
Re: May 20th Discussion
I like this one! Although I didn't get the fruit/floral notes, I tasted the grassy/savory vegetable notes. This tea reminds me of kukicha for the mellow, grassy flavor and not very acidic.
Re: May 20th Discussion
Definitely love at first sip for me! This is almost as good as Sleeping Dragon, my every day go-to. I'm not good at detecting the fruity notes & such. I just know what I like, as they say. This one is tasty to me!
Re: May 20th Discussion
Really glad I went back for a second infusion on this one. The first infusion was a bit too astringent for my taste, and I couldn't catch any of the grape or plum notes mentioned in the description. I'm glad I kept an open mind, because this tea really shines on its second and third infusions! Floral and fruity with a pleasant aftertaste. If I order more, I'll probably "wash" the leaves before I brew a cup.
Re: May 20th Discussion
Delighted again today. I hated green teas when I started my tea journey. Now they are among my favorite. Today's has familiar notes on the bitter and sweet side of flavors. Not sure it's one I'd buy again, since I have so many favorite green teas, but it was a pleasure trying it.
