Cuisineart gooseneck kettle; is 5 degree increments good enough

by Guedelon » Sep 4th, '21, 01:02

I'm in the marker for a variable temperature kettle but I've not had luck finding ones that last. Many reviews say they either stop heating or rust, even for some of the more well regarded brands like the Fellow and the Bonavita.

I was looking at the Cuisineart Gooseneck Kettle but it only can be adjusted in increments of 5 degrees (Fahrenheit) instead of single degree adjustments. Do you often need the individual degrees or should 5 degree increments be good enough to make great cups of tea?

As an aside I'd love to hear anyone's experience with this kettle or any recommendations toward a better one.
