I keep having trying dragonwell out and it keeps giving me a headache for some reason. There's just something about it, but I keep getting more to make sure it's not a specific vendor or something. Makes me not a big fan of the stuff.Chip wrote:Having Long Jing...Dragon Well...of course. This tea is an old friend...
This afternoon, I am enjoying a 2006 Winter Li Shan sample that I got from Victoria. It is not something that I would normally like, but I figured I would try it any ways. It gave me a reason to play with my gaiwan and new tea cup. The tea is very mild and sweet, but I am more entertained by the leaves and the bamboo cup.
I do, have you tried 5 o'clock au Gingembre?Victoria wrote: Hi GD, well I'm probably the only one here that understands your Serge Lutens reference, but I get it. I love it when your perfume and tea compliment each other. I'm wearing Montale Ginger Musk today. Not matching but ginger scents are a nice compliment to most tea don't you think?

Gave me a good chuckle! Always nice to start the day.
Well, I've moved on to some Darjeeling ((((Victoria)))). A little Keemun is good--but too much can be, well, too much.
Very interesting question
I think I do....I have a monkey clay pot and also another type with mythical types design on it from a friend who went over to visit her family in Tawain

It is definitely on my list to try!olivierco wrote:You should try Keemun. My favorite morning tea along with Yunnan golden tips
Bad news. The bamboo cup was very cute and went great with my gaiwan. After reading the actual page from the cups, I learned they should to be seasoned with tea before use. I took the last steep of the Li Shan and left it in the cup when I went to dinner. It wasn't overly hot by the time it went into the cup, but when I came back, there was a crack down the outside of the cup. It didn't go all the way through to the interior, but I don't think I will be using the cup to drink tea out of. I was rather sad since I've been fascinated by the cup since I got it.Victoria wrote:Ohhhhhh I like those bamboo cups! I have been looking at those too!
On the bright side, the White Tip Oolong that I finished the night with was great.
