Is the monkey on the back of the shirt, because then when you go home tonight you can take it off and say "wow i'm glad to have that monkey off my back" *rimshot*
*groan* Okay, that was bad!

The monkey is actually the cartoon face of a monkey that is the O in the MONKEY.
Though I think there might be a small monkey face on the back....

All my teapots are (shockingly-ha) porcelain. If I'm making iced tea, I will let the larger teabags steep in my glass kettle just for convenience's sake.

Decided to be practical & instead of spending money on new teaware, pull down some of the cup & saucers off the wall & out of the china cabinet. Had the last of my Organic Monk's Blend sample this morning. Mr Mailman, please be nice to me today!!!

Wow, very nice! Oh to have beautiful teaware just "hanging" around!

Oh, in my cup this morning - still enjoying LavenderPekoe's LiShan.
Lovely!

I have a very stong vibe your mailman is on the way with a package.

Clay...good kyusu is made of clay, not ceramic/stoneware. As Victoria already pointed out, there are differences...one other being, clay is porous and ceramic is generally not. The differences are subtle. You can go throw some ceramic at your local ceramic shop...can't do that so easily with say, Tokoname clay.

I also have some nice ceramic kyusu, and a few Korean "artisan" pieces that just arrived today. Wooohooo. Percelain is an invaluable material for a gaiwan.

Dwindling Nepal FF from adagio this morning. Currently, Houryoko shincha fukamushi in my cup

In my cup this morning: Dragonwell. Which reminds me that I have been meaning to order some good Shincha/Sencha to try. I've only ever had the cheap stuff and don't drink it often because, well, the obvious reasons.

YES...get shincha soon. It will be gone very soon. But still a lot of FF to choose from all year. Still love this cup!

And shouldn't wood and bamboo (lacquered or otherwise) also feature in the choices list? For example:

In my cup - sorry, it's PG Tips this morning - I have to dash to a training course!
Chamekke, as much as I ADORE lacquer, and have a SERIOUS I-WANT-THAT-NOW issue with your cherry bark cannister, the question is teapot material.
:)
Teaware is probably tomorrow's poll. (Sorry Chip!!)

Edited to insert smilies. Just teasing y'all.
Yeah...really nice, but til you show me a laquerware teapot, it is not on the list!!!

The glass cup is from Hou De. The Gaiwan is from TeaSpring.

Guess you missed the DRAGON in the back. Ha!

Miyabi shincha just before dinner.
And this afternoon koicha (Kaburagien) from my new kyoyaki chawan.

Sorry, no pictures of the koicha (I will borrow a camera during my summer vacations), just one of the chawan.

That's actually Chip's new method of brewing tea. He just kinda drools into his teapot while flipping through some catalogs. Then when he realizes he's broke he drinks his drooltea.
