I voted 96 oz, although I suspect it's a bit more than that on most days. My usual is 2 hot cups a day, sometimes 3... on my 3rd already today... and those cups are 12 oz.
Then I drink iced tea all day, usually 2 to 3 quarts a day. So, I probably should have voted for the full gallon in retrospect, but I was being conservative!
In my cup at the moment is my 3rd cup of my own breakfast blend concoction... half Assam Melody, and half Yunnan Gold... very fragrant and delicious... strong enough but smoother than the Assam alone... a nice combo.
Now that I think about it, I also had a bit of leftover londonderry iced, while taking my vitamins and waiting for the breakfast pot to brew.
I cold-brewed some moroccan mint blended with green pekoe last night, so I will enjoy that later. It smelled divine when I checked the carafe this morning.

Yesterday, I had about 7 infusions of a wuyi yancha brewed in a 2oz yixing, so...
14oz
(This was the 2nd day of brewing it, so, for those of you who are wondering, I got about 30 infusions out of it)
Plus, 6 infusions of yutaka midori in a 6.8 oz pot, so..
41oz
Then, a guest came over who wanted to try some shincha, so... (divided by 3)
14oz
Total=69oz
However, I normally only do one session a day, so I drink much less.

Closer to 64, usually over on most normal days.
That's one 15 oz cup to start my day at home, and usually two different teas at work, two 15 oz steeps each. So 75 oz is my normal daily average. I've made it to 90 oz, but not to 96 oz I don't think. Unless you count some very hot days and countless ounces of iced tea.
This morning's cup - AliShan
Have a nice day everyone!

i'm choosing 64oz and that's because of multiple infusions. sometimes i'll have a little more but i still drink plenty of regular water. i probably pee more than the average person
it's noon and i've had 16oz of cold brewed farmer's shincha. thankfully i only have about two spoons of it left because it's lost a lot of the magic it once had. so start finishing up your opened shinchas!
have a great tea day

Congrats!olivierco wrote:Kanro gyokuro right now.
Today is kind of special for many french people. It was the last saturday that we (kids and their teachers) went to school. French kids will now go to school only four days a week.
So, they're still giving you Wednesday off? Every Wednesday, my French teacher complains that if he were in France, he would be at home eating French food.
Now that's an interesting question! I said, 64 oz, but probably actually falls somewhere in the 40's or 50's....

Yes, but the teachers will have to work a little more on the other weekdays with small groups of kids with learning difficulties.trent wrote:Congrats!olivierco wrote:Kanro gyokuro right now.

I should however work on wednesday mornings as I will work after the summer vacations at a special school for kids with learning disabilities, psychological troubles and/or mental disorders.

7 ounce first steeps X 3-4 teas...plus resteeps up to 5 or more depending on the tea. If I have a Chinese tea it tends to go down since I am using a gaiwan half the size. Well, TMI.
Anyway, on average 3-4 liters, but it has been a little less lately.
The postman delivered two packages today...Russian Soul unburdened herself of Fukamushi Supreme. There was also something resembling toucha, but maybe it is something else. THANX Russian Soul!!!
And Hibiki-an sent a GIFT of Pinnicle Matcha Karigane, Karigane made exclusively from the veins/stems of tencha, sorted prior to making matcha powder. I was wondering if I would get it this year...I got it last year also as a gift.
So, I broke out the Fukamushi Supreme...awesome as usual.

I put myself down as 96.
I usually start off the day brewing a 32oz pot of tea for myself and my girlfriend. She usually has a 12 oz mug of it, and I take the rest. (20)
Then when I get to work I am usually drinking tea all day. I have a 22 oz Beehouse teapot that I usually brew in, or a gaiwan set that I use and I tend to have at least 2 pots during a work day, I figure somewhere along the same lines if I use a gaiwan set constantly throughout the day.. (44)
And usually in the evening I have at least another pot of tea, or numerous small brewings of tea. which I figured put me closest to the 96 number.
Believe it or not I actually think this is down from what I used to drink 2 years ago or so!

Varies widely, but at least 32 oz a day.
This morning: Yukata Midori Shincha ice brewed, (thanks scruff!) Very green, very bold. I think my preference runs to a slightly more subdued green, but ice brewed is very pleasing.
And in the cup:
Now I'm on to iced tea. I'm trying to use up some older teas that I'm not crazy about. Iced tea seems to make them disappear more quickly. I'm drinking Teavana's Rooibos Tropica, which tastes a little bit like tropical fruit bubblicious. I cut it with Tao of Tea's Goddess of Mercy, which seems to improve things somewhat. GoM ices very nice.
