Great guidance - Chip - a list of teas to investigate
and beautiful photos Salsado 100 Congrats
Well over 1/2 at least for me. I would like to try more Chinese greens.

Hi, everyone. I'm new here, but I figure I'll just jump right in (Chip told me to!)
I've tried 5 of the 10. Of the 5, wuyi oolong is my fave. Now I'm really curious about the ones I haven't tried. Some were things I hadn't even heard of, but who wouldn't want to find out more about a tea called "Monkey King Green," for instance?
In my cup: Giving my new adagio mambo sample its first try.

I am just going to third this idea. I love Wuyi, In fact, I am enjoying some Shui Xian Wuyi right now!augie wrote:Ditto on both accounts for me. Wuyi or TGY (both #1), Silver needle, and Dragonwell. Keemun will be on my next order. I guess I'm not very "experienced" as some might be on this forum.henley wrote:Congrats on the photos, Sal! We've all enjoyed them.
Of the teas listed, I've only tried 4; Dragonwell, Silver Needle, Wuyi & TGY. Wuyi is by far my favorite on this list. Keemun is on my "Teas to Try" list for the next time I place a tea order (which is going to be a while...).
Off to a family reunion.

10 out of 10, but it took more than 5 years. I have to say though, I have a lot of favorites on the list, and I like all of them. The Chinese have good taste in tea.
The one that gives me the most problems on the list is Wuyi. Maybe I cannot quite grasp the firing of these complex teas.
Adagio Keemun Concerto this AM in honor of the poll, and because I like Keemun.
Moving on to O-Cha Daily Sencha that I forgot I had. Need to use this up quickly.
Congrats, Sal. Keep up the great work. I have found that I really enjoy your most simple shots the best, like today's.
BTW, Friday will be the 200th TeaDay!

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
3 - TGY, Long Jing, Keemun
Drinking long jing right now but I never get the brews to be short enough. This if my fifth brew, 10 seconds, and terribly oversteeped. How much flavour does these greenlings contain??
I must have used way to much leaves. Going to take away lots. Cause I'm not giving up
Earlier today I've had Huang Jin Gui (glad to be home for an evening and have all my teas at hand) and in the morning Nilgiri. Must say that most black/red teas feel very plain for me after trying pu, oolong and sencha.

And you call yourself a newbie? 5 out of 10!
Here is a link for Monkey King for your amusement, a very amazing green tea. IF you like green, you should at least try 25 grams. The Cha Wang version is actually worth the added cost. Besides, CHIP TOLD YOU TO!
