There seems to be some ongoing interest in this topic, plus I want to get it out of the "A Tale of 4 Yutaka Midori" topic.

Which do you prefer, or in what order do you like them?

Asamushicha, light steamed sencha
Chumushicha, mid steamed sencha
Fukamushicha, deep steamed sencha

Please also feel free to copy and paste your comments from the "A Tale of 4 Yutaka Midori" topic here if you would like.

If I had only one choice, it would be asamushi but I fortunately don't have to make a choice: I drink all kinds of (good of course) senchas.

It rids our leaves of yellow, fortifies their green. When the waiter comes your way, you say, "Please sir, extra steam!"

definitely a fukamushi fan although I haven't had as much exposure to the others.

Every now and then I like a nice mild almost 'tansparent' tasting tea instead of the 'big flavor' of a fukamushi.

Aw heck! I love em' all!! :D

Pretty sure I've only ever had fukamushi, so I really have no idea what I'd ultimately prefer.

Hmm... My favorite Sencha is a asamushi, but all the teas after that on my good list are fukamushi.

Generally speaking, fuka, chu, and then asa in that order, but I have selections I enjoy mucho in each category. But for ease of brewing and deepest flavor, fukamushi, ftw!
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Miyabi = chu?... Was probably my favourite shincha this year, beautifully balanced and easy to brew.

I really enjoy the delicate nature of an asamuchi. They give me the feeling of being lighter and cleaner.

I think it is best roasted to houjicha  - and it is certainly far from typical Uji-style tea. Fits of course o-cha style that their Uji tea is murky green.
