Puerh book
Hello, I just enter the puerh tea world lately. Could anyone tell me whether this book is worth reading and buying?

I do not have that one, but I have his other book.
In my opinion, anything material that is in english is good. We loose out on soo many resources if you cant read chinese, so I personally buy anything available in english. Actually I own some chinese books too for pictures of yixing.

I have it, and I think it's worth reading. The English is not great, especially in the first edition (I heard some improvements were made before the second edition, which I think is the one I have).
Mr. Chan is a perfectionist, and has strong opinions, but as long as you're willing to read his opinions and be willing to form your own (keeping in mind that his opinions are probably more informed than yours or some random guy on the internet like me), I think it's a good read. Also, keep in mind that Wu Shing (the publisher of this book, Art of Tea Magazine, Puerh Teapot Magazine, etc.) and their authors have been accused by some of promoting certain cakes to increase the value of their own holdings / collections (for example, they have a close relationship with Changtai, and a lot of Changtai cakes get championed in the books and magazines). I'm not personally in a good position to judge the veracity of these accusations... just putting it out there. Rumor or not, it's worth bearing in mind, at least if you're using their books / magazines to base your purchasing decisions on.

I love the Art of Tea magazines. They are great. I read a little every day and cant even tell you how much more it has made me appreciate tea and begin to form my own opinions.

I've been wanting to order a copy for myself for awhile now. Maybe I'll take the plunge, not to mention it will give me a good reason to pick up some pu samples from hou de

As far as I know Cloud is an Asian first name. I know of another Cloud - he is Korean.

浮雲 (Fú Yún) means something like floating cloud, and is an internet pseudonym; not the same as his personal name, 陳淦邦 (Chén Gàn Bāng).
