No problem Sal. Just came across them on Youtube and thought others would like to see them. They can be hard to find because they are typed in Chinese.

Lol. Why? Just because of their long hair? Asians wore long hair before there were hippies... it's more traditional. Oh, and they're wearing watches... thus they are not true hippies. Hippies live on rainbow time... no use for watches.Salsero wrote:So Xi-Zhi Hao is owned by Chinese hippies?

I found it interesting how picky he was winnowing the leaves, then he did the wash in a small bowl and then transfered _some_ of the leaves to the pot for brewing. Wonder what he was thinking and looking for during that process...

i saw that too in the first vid. washed the pu in that gaiwan, then pouring the rest of the wet tea leaves in the brewing vessel.tenuki wrote:I found it interesting how picky he was winnowing the leaves, then he did the wash in a small bowl and then transfered _some_ of the leaves to the pot for brewing. Wow those guys are hard core...as you would expect. Ive been walking around today saying daa yee puu..waaar. Too funny.
I wonder if they transferred from gaiwan to teapot just to hydrate the leaves so the infusions would be more consistant? Thanks for the vids.

Ok, I have been doing some thinking as to why Xi-Zhi hao hippies may have used the Gaiwan before putting the leaves in a Yixing. Well, if the tea is really old that has many different molds and dust from storage, than perhaps he didn't want his Yixing to be exposed - you know to keep it "clean".
