Owes its flavors to oxidation levels between green & black tea.

Missing Baozhong....

by Vulture » Jan 27th, '09, 05:46

So I was given a nice sample of some Baozhong from Victoria on the LA trip. I went to my friends house 2 hours north of me after and left it there on accident. I tried it there and it was wonderful. On that note I found I was liking the different baozhongs that I have tried.

First, where was that Baozong from Victoria?

Also does anyone have favored places to get Baozhong from? I would like to have more as each seems a bit different yet the same.

I am going to be ordering more soon but wanted to try it from a few places.

That Baozhong was the Spring 08 from Shan Shui Teas.

Baozhong is also called Pouchong.
The Adagio one is pretty decent too.

Thanks,
Also what was first one you sent me? I gave the rest to my little sister for Christmas (along with other tea stuff).

The first tea I sent, I believe was my very favorite at the time. I wanted you to experience a high end greener oolong. It was from Floating Leaves Tea, they are out of it now. It was called AliShan Traditional.

But this is close:

I want to say the cost of the AliShan Traditional was even higher - but
worth every penny!

No you sent me a lot of tea but the first Baozhong you sent me was from tea something. source, spring, or whatever I couldn't find it. I will have to go bug my sister for the name then.

Anyone else have Baozhong recommendations?
