Re: Pino Digital Pro Kettle
I have only had one come off/out once, when I was rinsing it out after descaling with some vinegar because I have fairly hard water. It was easy to replace. I like it because I generally want at least a liter of water for a session of tea to fill my quart thermos. I also want to start gongfu with a ...

Re: Pino Digital Pro Kettle
... (It's flimsy, it falls out, etc.) Most of the reviewers said they either immediately removed it or removed it after struggling to keep it in the kettle for a while. Just curious, I don't really care as I make tea almost exclusively gongfu and don't really need specific amounts of water.

Re: Pino Digital Pro Kettle
Ah, somehow in the month (roughly) since I started reading on TC I never came across any comments on it. Well I'm glad I made a good choice, a lot of it was just based on what the company and a couple dozen reviews on Amazon said. Good to know there are members of the tea community that enjoy it tho...

Re: Pino Digital Pro Kettle
That's my intended purpose for the Pino. Gongfu cha is my main hobby lately and I feel that an electric kettle would really make it a lot more pleasant. Also I want the kettle so that I can make tea in any ...

Re: Cuisinart CPK 17 vs. Pino Digital Pro
I can only echo debunix's Pino comments. I'm happy with mine. Even if it overshoots the temp at first and then falls below it to begin reheating again, none of that takes very much time. Certainly faster than a kettle on the stove. I've never regretted getting mine.

Re: Am I high? White teas seem to me to be rather delicate
... mind my asking, how do you know what temperature the water is exactly? There are a lot of thermometers like these on the market; or you can get a kettle that will tell you how hot the water is. Or you could just guess, like I do. Wait a few minutes, and if it looks/feels like it's too hot once ...

Re: Cuisinart CPK 17 vs. Pino Digital Pro
No complaints with my pino. It does not hold exact temp, but the digital readout let you know when it drifts up or down a few degrees while the kettle is between heating and resting cycles. I doubt that any other ...
