For those of you here who enjoy drinking Indian black teas do you put milk or sugar into them?

I don't put anything into a Darjeeling but I've heard some people put sugar or lemon into them. I'm not sure if it would taste good after that?

For lower grade Assam and Nilgiri black teas I will sometimes put milk or sugar into them.

For traditional Indian chai I put sugar and milk into that. I also will put honey and milk into chai and Indian black teas like lower grade Assam and Nilgiri. My roommate likes avage nectar and I have tried that but I prefer it if it's light and not dark and I prefer honey to it.

Those SFTGFOP Darjeeling I would brew them like oolong.

For lower grades ones. I add sugar and milk and even ginger sometimes. Occasionally I add sugar with fresh mint.

If you like the lower grade black tea with less astringency, you can aged them in airtight container. They aged like any black tea to a smooth and sweet brew.

Cheers!

Say that five times fast.

To the OP: I occasionally mix some honey and milk into a very strongly brewed Assam or Ceylon. This is also how I finish off one that isn't good on it's own any more.
