Hi all,
I am from NYC and my boyfriend asked me to stock up on Russian Caravan, loose tea if I ever found it. The only company he tried was Twinnings but unfortunatelly, Russian Caran has been discontinued.
Can anyone suggest a store or a website where I can purchase this tea?
Very much appreciate it.
Thanks.
Yulia
Culinary Teas carries Russian Caravan.

The quality of their teas is excellent as well as their customer service.

Adagio also has Lapsang Souchong- also known as Russian caravan:

Jamie from the blog Tea on Tap published a review of Dragonwater's fruity version of Russian Caravan. (They have two--a 'fruity' and 'smoky'.) You might want to check that out.

...yeah...Russia Caravan can mean anything from smokey to more of a Chinese Keemun or a Congou. It is like English Breakfast, seems like everyone has their own interpretation of it. I had Twinings Russian Caravan years ago and I do not recall it being smokey.
Most tea drinkers equate it with a smoky Chinese black, but not as smoky as lapsang souchong.
You should be able to find a replacement for it regardless, but like most of us, you may need to try several in order to find what you like.

Twinings Russian Caravan is a tea I often drink and always have stocked up. It is, however, quite hit/miss on the smokiness front. I do always enjoy the flavour and feel of the tea, but it ranges from being hardly smokey to leaning towards being too smokey. Delicious tea thoughChip wrote:Russia Caravan can mean anything from smokey to more of a Chinese Keemun or a Congou. Re: Looking for Russian Caravan
I usually just buy loose Russian caravan tea from a local tea seller, as you can find them at farmer's markets, natural food stores, and I have seen it in supermarkets but it's generally more expensive for bagged or loose tea there than it is from tea sellers.
