Anyone tried Kusmi teas?

by GalileosDaughter » Apr 18th, '08, 09:26

Has anyone tried Kusmi teas? Saw these and thought that they looked interesting, but there's no reviews on the Luckyscent site and no way to get samples (well at least not online, I haven't emailed them yet to see if they'll send a sample). Anyway, I'm interested in what you tea experts think.

Thanks!

Gosh, they do look nice, don't they? The tins are beautiful. I'd love to know if anyone has some experience.

I have looked at those too, but haven't tried.
I've purchased several others though.

GalileosDaughter, I have two Kusmi tins, Anastasia and Flower Bouquet #108. I love them both, they are very high quality teas. The tins are huge though, so I am offering to share or swap out samples out of them on my swap thread, if you are interested. As far as I know it is impossible to get samples of Kusmi's otherwise.

I also love Kusmi's Anastasia. The others are very good, but Anastasia is really the only one worth the (high) price to me. I haaaate Kusmi's tea bag design, the rope sucks up water very, very quickly and can make a huge mess. They make incredible tea though, even for snobs who don't like bagged tea like me :)

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Russian Soul who sent me a generous portion of this (and some lovely Russian Samovar as well).

This tea is delicious! Thanks!

The Kusmi Prince Vladimir is AMAZING! And the Smokey Earl Grey is nice too - sort of an Earl Grey with a touch of lapsang souchong.

They don't have all the flavors, but Amazon has some of the Kusmi teas at the best prices I have found ($22.44 for a two-pack of the 4.4 oz. tins).

Kusmi Samovar is my morning tea when I don't have a cup of coffee. Smooth!
