Any chance of buying the new tins seperately?

by RedBus » Mar 23rd, '06, 02:03

I really find the new tins to be very useful in cleaning up my tea space, just wondering if we might be able to buy them seperately? I have quite a few older tins I would like to convert over to save some counter space.

in the past the -short- answer has consistanty been "no." I suspect that with a sampler being $2, most of the cost is the tin anyways.

tins answer

Actually, the reason we do not sell tins separately is because empty tins tend to get damaged in transit. Given the absurb volume of tins that we purchase, we get a very good price of them, and thus the cost of the tins accounts for only a small fraction of the total cost of any order.

Oh well, worth a try I suppose. I'll just have to order more tea :)

It's funny you say that about the tins getting dented, out of my 15 or so orders this latest one I got the large Earl Grey was extremely dented which was another reason for my inquiry. I haven't had any problems thus far but it looked like a freight train ran into my box, cardboard and air pillows were puntcured but the can just got dented up pretty bad :(
